I'm planning to buy the Spoon STB, X-brace, and rear tie bar soon.

Do I really need the rear tie bar? If I just put on the STB and X would I be changing the way bumpy roads twist my car. Because I'm worried that I might twist the chassis the wrong way, if I don't reinforce the rear end, while I am tightening the front. I know some ppl. say the STB is useless, but I want it mainly for looks. I just want to make sure I'm doing this right before I mess with the stock chassis setup.

I'm also thinking about the Spoon radiator cap, but I've heard different views on this. Is it true it has long term effects?

Can anyone elaborate on this subject? Thanks for any input.

I don't know anything about the Spoon radiator cap, and yes, I suggest you do a search.

As to the brace question, I can offer you some limited insight. I have the DiGrappa X brace on my '02. It makes a huge difference. The difference is night and day when driving over rough roads (and that's saying something because the chassis is already tight as a drum).

Many S owners have reported no perceived difference in the STB. However, it does look good.

Quite a few folks (including 2x6speeds) have said that the Spoon rear brace is good for one thing and one thing only, lightening your wallet. If you drive the car on the streets like a sane person, I can't imagine the need or you being able to tell the difference. If you seriously race your S or seriously autox the car, then maybe. However, if that were the case, I suspect you'd already know the answer to your question.

Finally, no offense, but bashing the board members for not answering questions which has been covered before when you already know it has (as evidenced by your comment about doing a search) probably isn't the best way to get open minded help. Just my 2 cents.
