you can get a pos and mod it to fit right or just get a used quality one for 1800 and sell it for 1800 once you are done with it.

most good condition, well fitment ht are rock steady in resale.

unless you have the skill to get a POS ht to fit right, don't get a crappy made ht because your resale is going down the pipes with a crappy fitment HT

I'll translate:

You can buy a used OEM hardtop for the same cost (and less hassle) than a poorly fitting aftermarket one.

$1800 is about the going rate.

speaking of hardtops, i was thinking the other day. so, i could saran wrap the soft top and put matting/resin and create a shell of a hardtop, a little more fiberglass reinforcement and body filler and i'm sure i could make my own hardtop. i'd just have to figure some way to mount the rear and mount front strikers on. i bet i could do it for under $200 in materials but it'd be a lot of work. maybe a fun summer project if i get bored...

yeah, if i got bored (really bored). but then again i could just get a grey cloth soft top for $500 too. i think making the actual shell wouldn't be too costly but i'd still have to get the hardtop mount kit and the cost would be too much for a backyard diy thing...

i got my OEM new on ebay for 2400 shipped with everything. If you spend money a replica one they fit pretty bad. usually dont have a window and overall no HT looks or fits better than an OEM one. THe other big bonus an OEM looks so clean on the inside and matches your interior....that made it an easy choice for me. You can bargain the people on ebay i got mine from a Honda dealer in Las Vegas

Could you specify which dealer in Las Vagas you purchased your Hardtop from for 2400 please? Thanks.
