Man, no joke people in wrx down here talk like that too. I thought maybe its just Australians in WRX but I guess its world wide : ) Anyway WRX has the shitest gear box, thats why the japs don't bother with those car. Down here my friend's friend's WRX is the fastest in the world! No joke! And he went through about 7 gear box and just as much drive train before he converted it to the race auto box. That tells ya someting about the quality of Subaroo.
Wow, that is hilarious. I think he deffinitly got what he deserved, and I think statman DEFFINITLY did the right thing. I would think (probably as far asi would get) about doing it, but I would just be to lazy, and I dunno if I could be that much of an ass, not saying statman is an ass at all. So its good there are still people who are loyal, and honest out there, and not to mention not lazy.
And they are right, he had NO idea what he was doing, it was compleatly his fault.

Must have been the white Racing Harts and black headlight housings that caused the damage
Why did he have to list those as mods, having nothing to do with his engine. Dumbass in a Honda huh? Now whose the dumbass?

Raises lots of ethical issues regarding "Whistle Blowers" and how others regard them, case in point Coleen Rowley's memo to the FBI director about her office turning down her request to investigate Moussaoui weeks before 9/11.
Some more relevant questions: Is Subaru (or Honda) just a huge, corporate entity that we can feel it ok to take advantage of? Is it permissible to fake a warranty claim we know was due to our negligence, just because it's some faceless bureaucracy with loads of money? Anyone who answers yes to either of those questions needs to not reproduce.

yeah the guy got what he deserved. He was running 18 psi and said later on in the thread that a shop was helping him tune his car. I don't know a whole lot about cars, as i am learning more everyday, but 18 psi of boost can't be good at all. I probably wouldn't have ratted him out since I would be too lazy to do it. But after reading that people make a great point that people with legitamite claims are being turned down all the time because of guys like that trying to cheat the system.

I had a 98 WRX which I modified fairly extensively and I never had a problem with the gearbox (in over 3 years of ownership). It might not be the best gearbox out there but it is acceptable in a stock-standard car if treated properly...
