even a 6000+rpm upshift and quickly letting out the clutch? c'mon man! it's gotta chirp! Hell even my Conto can do it! SOMETIMES, it'll do a 2-3 chirp...Never has done a 3-4 chirp

You fellas getting all these chirps...what tires are you running?

My car is still on stock rubber (with only 2,7xx miles) and I have a strip on the way to work where I almost always take 1st gear up to 8500-9000rpm before shifting very quickly. Today I did it on 2nd and 3rd gear as well. I've done this many many times and I've never heard the tires chirp. I was under the impression chirping was something you got from tires that have a harder rubber compound (and that our S-02s probably wouldn't be making much if any noise).

Making your tires chirp, while sometimes kinda cool, really means your tires are loosing grip which usually isn't a good thing (if you're trying to go fast).

4igs2000,

I had some loud chirps when I was running Yokohama Parada's in the rear (harder rubber).

Now, with my Toyo Proxes T1-S...I just feel alot of wheel spin when I 1st to 2nd. It chirps sometimes depending on the temperature of the tread and the road surface I guess. I got a 3rd to 4th gear chirp though when I was racing a M3.

I went back to my stock wheels the other night...and same thing...I would get some wheel spin from 1st to 2nd...but no chirp.
