chirping second
Shifting is a two step process. First. Take it outta gear. Second. Put in desired gear. It's hard to explain but I can just feel it. I'll pull it outta first and you can almost just feel it tell you, ok now I'm ready for the next gear now(went allttle slow maybe tap the gas(revmatch) to catch me up some
) When shifting becomes slamming gears you need a new bestfriend. A mechanic.

tires and cold weather definitely plays a role. for example, the other night was about 36 degrees and i went open WOT in first gear and lost traction VSA was kicking in and my car was in a straight line drift. im pretty sure i could chirp third if i wanted to. but on a hot summer's day with an hour of driving on my RS-3, im pretty sure second would be pretty hard to chirp. but my evo v12 would chirp in second and third no matter what temperature.
What exactly is a straight line drift?

If you are matching revs to road speed, the S2000 does NOT have enough power to break traction in a straight line in 2nd gear unless it's wet. If you are dumping the clutch with the revs elevated beyond road speed, then sure, but that is terrible for the car and a perfect way to put yourself into the gravel on the track.
Regarding CDV removal: one of the best 'mods' I've done. You just have to understand that you're still going to have some slipping due to the heavier flywheel. I will be getting an AP1 flywheel whenever I have to do my clutch. Even as it sits the car is much more fun to drive.
However, given the way it sounds like you drive, the CDV might be saving your diff from premature failure. Or perhaps the people here are misunderstanding what you are describing and your shifting behavior is normal, but there's something else at play causing the chirping like bad tires or low temps.

Lol sorry if that sounded bad. First and foremost, I would like to say that I never do anything that I cannot handle. I have plenty of autox experience. But what happened was I was on a straight road, a ramp to the freeway. I was rolling in first gear and decided to floor it. When I did, my car stepped out a little like 20ish degree angle. Ok fine. It wasn't a drift but I spinning rear tires and some angle. Lol do you guys want a video? Also I should say I never do this on any busy roads and I only do this really late at night/early morning. Usually around 2 in the morning and I also live in a small town.
