Thumbs up Choosing between two intakes..Help please.

So,I have chance to pick up either a aem v1 cold.(used cple weeks only)...Or a new Spoon sports air filter..(both for same very good price.about 140).
Just want to know what yall think would give better(if any) gains...(btw,spoon would sit in the oem airbox)....thanks in advance

I would stay away from the AEM if you live in a area that rains often. The risk of sucking up water with an AEM is pretty high. I have an AEM, but live in SA where it does not rain too often. I am actually looking for a Comtech to replace my AEM with.

The Spoon filter probably won't give the performance gain the AEM would unless you get the snorkel too.

Thanks for the comp. I was also thinking about a K&N FIPK. You can find them on Ebay just over 200. It should be close to the AEM in performance without the water risk.

Oh, doesn't K&N make a drop in filter? The performance should be the same as the Spoon for less than half the price. You can save the difference towards a Spoon duct.
