I find that it's easier for people to talk to you since you're in a convertible. Having a cool convertible is just a plus. I pulled up next to a guy in a Porsche Carrera convertible and carrried on a nice conversation with him. Most cops don't really talk to me when I'm driving. Maybe I just have that "hard" look.

Darkcrow - at the Norm Reeves event, the speaker was talking about exhaust tickets. He says that's it's really hard for cops to win on these tickets becasue of the way the law was revised. You might be able to win this one.

I've been followed, flashed, and then left alone by several cops around town here, but I haven't been actually pulled over once since I bought the S2k. Perhaps they understand people with fast cars need to exercise them once in a while?

Has a cop nicely comment on the car in Michigan. It was 2 in the morning so it spooked me a bit.

DaRKCrow-

That's too bad, your exhaust is very cool.

Hunanatek-

When I first got my S2K I pulled into a Shell station just before Angeles Crest Highway heads uo the mountain. It was a warm Saturday. Angeles Crest is infamous in LA. All the bikers do it in full leathers, etc. They all hang out at this Shell station first. There have been lots of accidents, people going over the side and plunging hundreds of feet. I have personally seen several helicopter airlifts out. For as long as I can remember, there has been incessant chatter in the media about stricter speed enforcement, special task forces, etc. Oh, and by the way, people dump bodies up there.

I'm pumping gas and this young Sheriff walks up and says "nice car." We talk about it for a while and he says "Are you gonna take it up Angeles Crest?" I said no, I had to go to work. He said "Too bad, I'll bet it absolutely hauls ass." This is in La Canada. He patrols this area.
