Chrome Headlight Housing for '02 S2000's in Japan

I found some more pics courtesy of www.honda.co.jp

I noticed a few months back that the new '02 models in Japan would be including these chrome headlight housings. However, the pics then were very hard to see if anything at all had been added. Here, the pics are of an obvious S2000 that has these in Japan!

Besides the clear turn signal marker, the chrome housing gives the car a very aggressive and upscale look, IMO!!!

I have no idea who this man is other than the owner of this georgeous car! BTW, he has it in the pearl white that is available in Japan! Damn, why can't we have more choices here!

I don't like the chrome headlight housing, I prefer the black headlight housing anyday ... Maybe, it's just me.

personally, I like the housings the way they are, not chrome....but the cleared out part would be cool

Is it just me or does plastic chrome almost always look cheap and tacky?
