I've seen some 350Z owner's adding chrome door strip molding (can be found at any auto parts store) to their front grilles. It actually looks decent on the "Z". Anyone try this on their S yet? I thought I would post this here as some might like it.

Here are some pics on the Z. The S2000 does have similiar bars in the middle grille as well.

Good lord, chrome and S2000 together? That's like asking a pit bull to share it's birthday steak with the neighbor's kitten.
I'm having trouble dealing with the fact that the craftsquare carbon fiber mirror bases are chrome, let alone chroming the grille.
Might look ok with a black car that has chrome wheels but I'm hoping that in of itself, is a rare combo.

However, having said all of this. Best advice is to try it and see if YOU like it. I'm always in favor of those doing mods to please themselves and not the masses.

if you like that look then go for it. For me, I rather weight funtional over the look - get the front grill to protect radiator. (I choose black over chrome)

Personally, I think it makes the Z look like a Puffer fish. Those chrome strips just makes the "mouth" too blatant. I'm afraid it would do the same for an S2000.

There is a silver in the Seattle area where the owner made a custom grille. I'll have to see if I can find a pic...

I like the look but I doubt the longevity of the mod with rain and frequent washing!
