Chuhsi's Essential Mods List
I wanted to assemble a list of mods that I wish I did the first day I got my AP2. Hopefully you'll find something on this list helpful:
- Folding cupholder
You can actually drive with a drink in your car and not risk mis-shifting because you're using the crap cupholders that came with your AP2. It's the perfect distance away from my hand and holds drinks steady. I think I paid about $13 for it.

- Hardwired Valentine 1
This radar detector rocks. I only use Ka band with custom programming and it keeps me safe from cops. I love the directional arrows to help me locate radar signals. Get the detector new direct from Valentine, but ask for a one that has been returned to save 10%.

- Keep the AC off when in defrost mode

- Modifry shift beeper
Stop staring at your tach to see when you need to shift. Just keep your eyes on the road and listen to the beeps to shift at the perfect time. *Much* safer. I even use it to see if I'm going around the track faster because I hear beeps sooner.

- Get rid of top rattles
My top started rattling after the first week. Lithium grease, EPT tape, shin etsu grease, and sticky felt are your best friends. This will take care of most rattles:

I also put felt in these places to stop more rattles:
- On the plastic next to the right shoulder of the passenger seat to stop an unused seatbelt from rattling against the plastic
- Under the ignition to stop my keys from hitting the plastic under the ignition
- On some plastic hinge above the driver's left ear to stop a really annoying "crack" sound
- Convex driver's side mirror
The blind spot on our car is horrific. I don't know how anyone could drive without this convex mirror.

- Clear JDM sidemarkers
A must on silverstone cars to look extra sexy. Go with the JDM honda version that you can get a bunch of different retailers
- Bride Vios III bucket seat
I hated the OEM leather seats because they would get hot in the sun, required regular maintenance, created a high seating position, and wouldn't hold me tight during track sessions. The Vios III fixed everything. It's totally unpractical for a daily driver (ex: getting out of the seat requires two hands) and is expensive as hell, but that didn't hold me back at all. The seat also fits perfectly in our car with zero rubbing on the door or side compartment.

- Fumoto valve
Makes oil changes super fast and easy. No jacks. No tools. Get F-106 and the ADL-106 adapter
