Yea um, don't expect a "professional" installation at any electronics store. I wouldn't let them go near my car.

Any place like Circuit City or Best Buy would suck for car audio installs.

I had a friend who noticed that his head wasn't secured properly in the dash after getting the install done at CC. When he pulled the trim to check it out, he saw that the head unit was DUCT TAPED in place! Sorry that your install wasn't much better. A new trunk liner and some silicone to seal the holes from the screws in your trunk and you will be good as new. If something bad is going to happen to your S, this is the one to have, as it is not visible from the outside and no mechanical damage was done.

I use to work at my local privately owned stereo shop, and we would have at least 4 people a week bringing us stuff from Circuit City or Best Buy that they had screwed up or either wasn't working properly. The main reason is they dont hire MCEP certified installers they just hire these teenagers that know absolutely nothing about installing a stereo. Sorry about them screwing up your car man, I hope you get everything worked out.

Retail stores like that are "training grounds" for people who want to learn to install. They often hire people without any prior experience. You're basically paying some kid to "practice" on your car.
