Default Cleaners (for top/interior/body)

Just got my S2000 and I would like to know which care products people have had success with. Which car soaps are you using. What do you use to clean & protect your interiors? What soaps do you wash it with and what wheel cleaners are you all hot on?

The newbie says "Thanks"

Well, at Porsche they sell this Cabriolet cleaning kit for $99. You can pick it up at any dealer. Kit comes in a silver metal case. Inside you get fabric top cleaner, body soap, window cleaner, wax, and wheel cleaner, as well as a sponge. There are two kits, specify the one fpr cabrio...

I use these products:

Convertible top: 303 Fabric/Vinyl Top Cleaner as cleaner, 303 Aerospace Protectant as a protectent
Car wash: P21S Bodywork Conditioning Shampoo, it can also be used to wash the top
Seats: Zymol leather cleaner, Zymol leather cleaner, this stuff smells great.
Dash: Zymol Vinyl, it leaves a deep dark finish without looking shiny or greasy.
Tires: 303 Aerospace Protectant, make sure you wash the tires first before applying any protectant.

Hope this helps!

Thanks so much. I think I'm going to give the Zymol and 303 a try. A read somewhere (not sure where) that the Porsche Cabrio Cate Kit might not be a god match for the S2000 because the fabrics of the two tops are very different. Can anyone give any weight to this?

I'd suggest you also check out Zaino products- all natural & all smell great. Most include UV protectants as well. They're on the web & available thru mail order. Wonderful stuff for inside & out.

Does anyoine treat their exhaust tips with anything? My last car was an older Porsche and I used to clean the tip eaxh season and cover it with paint. Any solvents I should be using to keep those tips shiny?

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT OUR TOPS ARE VINYL AND NOT FABRIC. The reason I bring this up is because there have been individuals recommending Porsche cabriolet top cleaners and protectants. Their tops are FABRIC. I don't know if any harm would happen if the wrong product is used, but why take a chance?

Thanks for the chemical suggestions. A few questions:

I got the Zymol for the leather, both the Cleaner and the protectant. 1)How did you know which parts of the seats were leather and which were vinyl. 2) Didn't this stuff clog up the breather holes on the seats?

Also, I'd like to try the 303 cleaner for the vinyl top but I can't find it anywhere. Know of any mail order places that have it? I was able to find the aerospace protectant no problem.
