Default Cleaning The Drains For The Top?

My roomate has a 2000 Toyota MR-2 Spyder. He has recently had some problems with water leaking into the cabin because the drainage system for the top is no longer working properly. This is most likely due to the fact that the system is clogged by debris and needs to be cleaned out. I was just wondering if there was any kind of cleaning that had to be done for our soft-tops? I did search by the way and came up with NADA!
thanks guys

There is no drainage system for our soft tops...the only thing you need to do is get a good convertable top cleaner to keep it nice and dark and conditioned.

But I do wish there was some type of system to re route the water when it rains, cause whenver its raining and you roll down the window...and water fall comes pouring into the car

the water drains into the space in front of the rear tires, a small diameter tube brush will open a blockage.

Find a Helm manual for the S2000 and you'll see there actually is a drainage system for our tops. It's to drain the water that accumulates at the back of the top when it's up.

Yes, there is a drain system for the top. The fabric of the top is riveted to a Rain channel, thal ducts H20 to 2 drains in front of the rear tires.

I've never seen one clogged, but I would still avoid parking under trees (to avoid sap and leaves) to keep the drains clear.

I think I may be expeiriancing a drainage issue. Immediatly after it rains.. say within 6 hours .. if I put the top down, water will pour out from the top rubber sill on the passenger side at the first joint into the car. Also, if its been pouring, and I roll the window down while driving, water will drip from there and run out from the second joint on the passenger side into the top well where the motors and frame are. This has just started within the past 2 months. I am waiting on a nice weekend to replace my top and figure I would check it out then. But I would like to know more about this drainage system. I know it is there, just don't know alot about it.

If you take off the rear wheel, there is a small box in front of it with a rubber tube draning into it. You might be able to blow hgh pressure air through it also.
