Cleaning Engine (?)...
I have used "S100" on engines with great success. I buy mine from a local motorcycle shop. It is safe for paint and rubber.
It is imported from Germany and somewhat expensive, but it's worth it.

I hose off most my cars' engine compartment at least once a month or every other times when I wash my car to keep the dirt away. (it will keep the engine cooler without the dirt) Also a good time to check for any oil leaks
S2KRAY (master detailer) has 20k miles on his stook and I would put it up against one of the showroom floor..his engine compartment is cleaner than mine was at the time of delivery. I am sure he will be able to give you tips on how to clean up the engine compartment, and any other detailing tips.
Thank you Charlie, Actually I clean the engine bay often and dont allow dirt to accumulate. I ocassionally use a degreaser I get from my detailing distributor. I just spray it on, wait a few minutes and hose it off. I also dress the rubber and vinyl with my detail suppliers product called (Super Stuff) and it keeps the rubber and vinyl looking new.
