Take it to Ricardo's, pull it out and put the air gun on it from the inside out. Or you can buy the cleaner kit from K&N.

I've heard that an air gun is bad for the filter. Not sure why because air goes through it all the time, but that's what it says in the instructions that come with the filter recharger kit. I just let mine soak in soapy water, then use the oil in the recharger kit. Works fine for me.

An air gun will blow holes right through the filter element.

I removed the filter and used the K&N filter kit to clean it.
The kit costs like 10 bucks from autozone

You should never use an air gun on an "oiled" gauze air filter. It's quite difficult to dislodge crud from it by blowing. It might be OK for a paper filter.
