I have done the clear bra to 3 of my cars including a Spa 2000 NSX, and never experienced any of these problems. I think that you may have an installation issue. I would never have another fine car without it. I am awaiting the pattern to be produced for the MY04 to get mine done ASAP.

Some questions about the clear bra:

1. Have any of you folks applied the bra yourself? It looks like it might be a bit of a pain for an inexperienced person.

2. Does it cause any problem while waxing the car? Or do you even worry about waxing the part of the car that's covered by the clear bra? Mainly, I can imagine that wax build up along the edges might be an issue. Anyone with experience care to comment?

3. I looked at the web site that 03exlcoupe posted and they mention a 5 year warrantee on the product. If any of you have kept a car that long or longer, how does it hold up in the long run? Assuming it does start to yellow or crack, how much trouble is it to remove, should you need to?

Thanks for any info,
Drive Safe,
Steve R.

I got it for almost a year now. No problems whatsoever! But I will definitely be on the lookout for crackin on my clearcoat. Other than that I love the stuff paint nice and chip free

As for wax. I use Zaino, which does not leave messy residue.

I consider my self VERY patient when it comes to caring for my car. I heard the stories about how people tried putting on the clear bra's themselves and failing miserably on the contoured areas. I figured they didnt know what they were doing, werent as detailed as me, and werent technically adept. I was going to prove them all wrong. I ordered the deluxe kit and went to work. I did the top portion which includes the hood and above the headlights. It was so EASY and I was done in a matter of minutes. The bumper was a totally different story. I worked on it for hours...and finally gave up. I yanked it off my car and crumbled it up and thew it in the garbage. Lesson learned.

Unless you have the patience of a saint (even that may not be enough) and went through a training course I wouldnt suggest doing it yourself.

As far waxing over it...go ahead it wont hurt it or yellow it. Just be aware of build up around the edges but that is easily remedied and can be cleared away.
