Default Clear Car Bra?

I just bought a new 2005 Silverstone S2000.

I barely have over 100 miles on it, but i'm reluctant to drive it because they are doing a lot of construction in my area. The drive from the dealer to my house and one late cruising has already put some chips and scratches on the side and front.

I'm trying to find out what's the best way to protect my car. Clear car bra? Waxing? Total newbie here. Please help! I called several places around my area and they know nothing about the clear car bra. Anyone in souther ca had it done? Can you tell me where?

I have heard that you can put a 3M coating over the car. This will prevent chipping.

I just got the 3M clear bra for my 2005 Silverstone S2K. I commute 80 miles to work and the S2K is my commuter/fun car and after owning several cars that got rock chipped and damaged from the commute, I did not want to expose my S2K to the abuse. A guy in my area did the complete front kit that covered the bumper, headlights, 1/3 of the hood and the mirrors for $535. It came out great, you can see it close up but once you are a few feet away you cannot see it. I am hoping it works as good as they say it does. It seems it already saved the front end a little in the few weeks that I have been driving it, no noticable dings yet.

I am curious, what did you pay for your 3M kit and is it the complete kit?

The clear bra will prevent rock chips on the areas covered. I've had mine for over 3 years and have been very happy with it.

Go to www.speedfilm.net and check out what Dave has on his website. He may also be able to direct you to a good installer in your area.

Had I known how great the 3M clear bras were, I would have put one on my 2002 Spa, but now that it is all chipped and dented from track use it seems like a silly idea. However, I'm having one put onto my new Titan as soon as I take delivery...

The 3M web site list authorized installers in your area.
