It took about 4 hours the frist time I did it. That is the bumper on/off and lights cleared all by my self. Now, after I hav e done 20 or so, I can clear just the lights in 60mins.

Took me about 6 hrs to do it the first time. A second set of hands to help pull the lights apart would be VERY helpful, especially if that someone has done it before.

Can be done in about an hour from start to finish as mentioned above. Once you know where all the bolts and clips are the front bumper goes on and off VERY quickly and easily.

Definately not too hard for the weekender to do. It can be done quickly, but it took me 2 days, most of that was painting/sanding/etc for the painted inserts. If you plan on painting the inserts, do it when you clear, otherwise you're doing twice the work.

Main thing is that if you are doing this for the first time, I recommend using paper to insulate the oven from the headlight, not a wet towel. The added humidity does nothing but increase your chances of having headlight condensation after reinstallation. Also, watch for debris getting in the headlights, you don't want to have to start over because you've got a bunch of carpet fuzzies in there. And lastly, TAKE YOUR TIME, it's important not to rush this, you could break something, and those headlights are $500 a pop.

PM me for any more info you want/require if you like, I'll be glad to help out, and I have pics too if you need.

Sorry if this is a very noobish question from me. But I think it would look nice if people took the inserts out all thogether. Why does nobody do this?

Not hard at all the first time took only 90min...from start to finish plus had to run to the store to get bulbs. The rest of the other s2k i work on only took around 45-60min. Here is the link below of how my s2k looks like and as well as other people i did it for.
