Default Clear headlites

Other than paying over $1100 for clear turn indicators in the head lites, what can I do? A fellow S2K owner had a company take out the amber lenses, but what about water leaking into the lenses since a heat gun was used? Any ideas?

I did mine myself. No leaks and looks awesome! I have a fellow board member named "Arnell" to thank for that.....thanks again Arnell. If you are going to clear your corners look up Arnell's definitive piece on the subject.

jfks2k (James from this board) did mine and he used the oven. work really good cuz the seal is broken then re-sealed. He re-seals it twice to make sure there is no leaking or moisture build up. The work is excellnet. Either email him or buy Bentrim's.

best regards,
LIL Raja

I suggest as this to the first mod. don't spend 1100 for JDM, not worth it.

Yes, James does do excellent work, Im sure his lights in the back look cleaner than mine. If you dont mind your vehicle being out of commission while you send your lights to him, I would definitely have him do it if your not in for doing it yourself. If you want to do a swap, I suggest buying mine or JDMs, switch them, then sell your stock lights. You can get between $400-$600 for them.

Why pay someone to do something that costs $30 (max) to do it yourself. Use Arnell's thread and find mine (in NYC Forum) as well. I added some extra tips in there. I just cleared and installed a set on Sunday for Eze1899 and ask him how nice they look. It's just not that hard. Oh yeah I did it for free!
