Default Clear instead of amber in the headlamps...

Does anyone know an easy and/or inexpensive to get clear inserts instead of the amber for the headlights. Also, are the Rick's the best side marker replacements, or does anyone know of better.

rick's side markers are JDM - i'd imagine they're the best you can get. as to the headlights, i direct you to the search function. you'll find more than you can read through concerning this subject.

Regarding Rick's side markers, they are Honda parts for the S2000, so I don't think it gets any better. I have them, and they look great. Just like the stock side markers, but clear.

Regarding sidemarkers you have some answers...

Regarding Headlamp(turnsignals) there are some posts on this site to tell *how* to take out the amber plastic. You can see photos of the results etc.... unfortunately the Search is down or I'd search for you.

I like the results and there is a regular contibutor ("sylvainsf") who will teach you how... on occasion for bringing lunch and beer. Sac isn't so far from Berkeley. Go for it.

Thanks for the posts everyone! I'll try the library for the headlamp signals...and see if sylvainsf is free. I think additionally i'll paint the capiler's red. I have silverstone on black...

Since the search is not working... this might help.

just cleared mine today cause i was bored. as for following the Library's how-to... do not put a damp towel in the oven if you intend to use the direct heat method. it will only cause the water to recondense onto the headlights and roast the towel. someone needs to change that. good how-to.. but that one step was bad. if i didn't check on the towel, it would have caught fire.

I think taking out the amber looks good, but on the JDM headlights, there is still a clear piece where the amber one is, just so you dont see a bunch of chrome. I wonder if that piece could be found, if so, you would have the JDM headlights at a fraction of the cost.
