I'm really surprised you could not find those answers - they're everywhere! Including http://www.hondacars.com

I know the search engine barely works, so I'll be nice and answer instead of the

All S2000's are convertible = yes, they all have a soft top.

Yes, the hardtop sits over the convertible top when the convertible top is folded into its tray. Yes, the convertible top is still usable when the hardtop is off the car.

A real simple way to get these answers, is to visit your local Honda dealer. You don't have to talk to anyone - just look at the car and the should go off.

Dannn:

I see you got the answers to your questions already, but I wanted to add a few answers to questions that I had before I got my hardtop.

1. The power to the soft top is disengaged when the hardtop is installed, so the soft top cannot be inadvertently or intentionally be raised while the hardtop is installed. The electric soft top is automatically re-enabled to the original function when the hardtop is lifted off of the mounting brackets.

2. The soft top boot must be removed before the hardtop can be installed. I hope some creative fabricator will design and market a modified soft top boot that protects and hides the soft top while the hardtop is installed.

3. The hardtop is fairly easy to install and requires a hardware kit that includes the wiring harness for the soft top disable and the read window defroster. I believe that there are some differences in the kits for different years, particularly for the Y2K S2K's, before the glass window was available. My only experience is with the hardtop on the MY 05 (same as 04).

4. There are some creative color combinations that mix hardtop and car colors and add character to your S2K. My S2K is Suzuku blue and my hardtop is Sebring silver (close in color to the OEM wheels so it surrounds the blue with silver).

There are a lot of folks on this site that know more about the S2K than me and I'm certain that you will find them to be helpful. Have fun deciding on what you want. I love my S2K

Since I just bought a Suzuka Blue and need to start thinking about the hardtop for next winter do you have any pics of your color combination? I never thought about Sebring but was debating black.

Thanks.

Thanks mad-dog-one, I really appreciate it. It is not a color combination that I thought of, or have seen, but could look really good.

Thanks Poindexter
