Does anyone know for sure if there is clearcoat on the black cars?
Dealer says yes, but it doesnt really look like it.
I'm ordering my Zaino soon so I need to know.

Helm S2000 Body Repair Manual (Ref: Body Paint Section 5-2)indicates that the stock stook is finished with a 3C-3B process...that is three coats and three bakes:
1st = Zinc Phosphate + Electrodeposition (undercoat)
2nd = Chipping Primer + Intermediate Coat
3rd = Solid Color Enamel + Clearcoat (or)
Metallic Enamel + Clearcoat (or)
Pearl Enamel + Clearcoat
So yes there is a clearcoat........

So does this mean all the colors are clearcoated? I have a New Formula Red S2k. I rubbed it with some McGuire's Swirl Remover and noticed that the cloth turned red (I was trying to remove some scratches). I thought, this meant the paint was not clearcoated.
Can Someone please clarify? I'd like to buy Zaino too and I know there is a separate product for clear and non-clear coated cars.

It's interesting to hear of your experience with the NEW Formula Red Stook. Like you I discovered when first waxing my 1991 NSX in "old" Formula Red that there was a trace of red color on the cotton towel. I have experienced this with repeated waxing. The paint is original and in great shape but obviously has no clear coat.
