Closing stock hood

When closing your stock oem hood, which do you guys prefer, pushing down on the hood or letting it drop?

Pushing for me.
My friend dropped it once

and it didn't shut.

Anyways, I always push it in.

I drop the hood becuase when I push it down I feel like I'm denting it in.

you should always be dropping the hood. especially since it is aluminum
