Default Clutch/brake, trans, diff, engine oil changes

I've owned my S2000 for about a year and engine oil change was done twice, but no other oil changes have ever done. We have some canyon driving coming up on Aug and I think I should get every oil/fluid changed before that. Just wondering how often do these oil changes need to be done usually? And what type of products/brand do you recommend?

I'm somewhat curious as well. Given I put a lot of hard driving on my car.

I ask under fairly heaving driving application and consideration. I assume Vik2000 does too.

I want to specify this because this board tends to jump on people for not knowing the "simple" things about their car without reading the question....

I have heard every 50k miles diff fluid and trans fulid should be changed.
For oil your car will give you that "maintanance" light. People say it is very accuarate when you need to change oil. Cause it is based on revs, mileage and a lot of other things.
If I am wrong someone shall bash me and correct me

from what ive read from other people

most people do oil changes 3-5k, but ive seen 10k at most. I PERSONALLY do 3-5k OCI.

trans oil i believe is 10-15k, but this may vary from person to person. some do it every other oil change. I PERSONALLY do every 10-15k.

diff oil ive read to change after the first 5k of a BRAND NEW car, otherwise every 30k? I PERSONALLY plan on changing mine every 30k.

to be honest idk about the clutch and brake fluid.. but i believe that might be a 30k interval? maybe 50k? i have no real idea. maybe others will give their 2 cents.

I personally would agree with roflitzjinno on those numbers. When it really starts to change though is when you change brands.... Higher quality higher performing brands do different things....

for instance when I had I think it was my MRS... People wouldn't use Redline because it would break down faster than MOST other brands.... so be a little careful there..

I'm about to ATE my brake fluid because even at 23K it's TOAST!!!!

P.S. In order not to hijack this thread I'm going to post info on upcoming brake and fluid changes

Keep the comments coming please! Experiences with various brands? I'm planning to go Motul for everything.

I think Motul is a good brand. as far as I can remember I don't think I've known anybody to have a problem with them.

With Motul I look at it this way..... Honda among others make these very HIGH revving engines for motorcycles.... with VERY short tolerances.... and a lot of the service places use Motul.... and I would trust in that alone.

I change my trans & diff fluids every 15K. Waiting on Blackstone to determine what I want to do for engine oil. I don't know about the rest really...

It's impossible to say what is and isn't "correct" without UOA's. You can go by the schedule but it's just an educated guess. Real world requirements vary depending on your specific driving conditions.

I change my fluids more frequently because the car does get driven hard from time to time. I dont know if it is absolutly necessary, but here are my fluids and change intervals.

Motor Oil: Royal Purple 10w30 every 3000 miles

Tranny Fluid: Amsoil MTF every 6000 miles

Diff Fluid: Amsoil 75w110 every 6000 miles

Brake/Clutch fluid: every 12000 Miles or sometimes after a rough weekend. Oh and I use ATE Super Blue Racing Brake Fluid for both.
