Default Clutch Recommendation?

Hey all,

I have a stock 2003 S2k with approx 33,500 miles. The clutch is starting to catch a bit later especially under hard starts (same feeling my old maxima had a month or so before it went totally). I'd like to start shopping around and reading up on replacements BEFORE it goes so I thought I would throw this out and see if anyone had recommendations.

It's a daily driver in LA, but I'd like to find something that is a little tougher than the stock setup and can handle a bit more abuse . . I do afterall drive the PCH on the weekends

Thanks in advance,

Rich

ACT/Comptech package = ACT HD PP, OE FD, OE TB, Comptech Fly.

I have this set up and daily drive.

If I were you ....I would get the SPEC Stage 2+ Clutch kit with lightened pressure plate and also a SPEC lightened flywheel good for 430 lbs/ft torque. Excellent for daily driving and excellent for spirited ones, too. I just love them. Just don't forget to break them in ... about 400 miles of stop and go.

I also have the hardtopguy clutch package and with the power/abuse from a turbo setup it handles it no problem, so with stock power it is definitely up to the task. The clutch feel is close to stock, just a little harder, but it grabs 100% better then stock.

You do get used to it fairly quick though. It feels normal to me now.

I'm pricing clutch kits now, where's the best price for this setup?

Did you also have to replace your Clutch Throwout Bearing?
