clutch replaced at 12k....should it be covered....well....

well at first american honda said no....so i paid for it out of pocket....well then a friend of mine who works at another honda dealership, and must know someone, got them to refund my half of the cost.....got the check yesterday.....i guess if you make a big deal out of it then they are willing to help!

They could have done it for free - mine was replaced at 25k and it didn't cost me a dime. Just tell them you're hearing a grinding noise when you decelerate and show em a printout of TSB 52 if they start to get feisty (I think it's 52)

i tried but they insisted that i abused it....if i wanted a sunday , lodydody type of car i would have bought a buick.

He has a 2002 which already has the updated clutch.

i had my clutch replaced for free at 6,000 miles.
i might also add that it was a 2002.

my dealer quoted me 1350 for labor alone....another dealer quoted me 580 for labor, as did an acura dealer!

1350 is just outrageous!!!!

Ouch, You could have gotten a nice aftermarket one installed for a lot cheaper than that.
