Default Which clutch set up is best for NA replacement?

I have been debating between the hartopguy package for $725 which includes

A Comptech Lightened Flywheel, ACT pressure plate, OEM clutch disc, and OEM Throwout Bearing or the,

Competition Clutch package from Kane's Automotive Speed

Competition Clutches Stage 1 Clutch Kit - Honda S2000 00+
[8023-2400] $565.25 which is the Gravity Series 2400 Clutch Kit
The CC Gravity 2400 series kit is the economical solution for moderately increased cars and/or stock cars driven in an aggressive manner. This clutch system will safely guarantee 40-50% increase in torque capacity and still deliver extended life.

Includes:

* Competition Clutch pressure plate
* 6 pad Carbotic high-torque performance disc assembly
* All applicable bearings
* Alignment tool.

I have read.....https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...T&f=1&t=400118
Forums -> ►►►Competition Clutches◄◄◄ but

Can anyone offer a good comparison between these two?

Which set up will have the better clamping power?
Which one will be longest lasting?
Which one will be quieter with less rattle?
Which one will have a lighter pedal feel?

Thanks in advance,
Evan

Get the stage 2...I am going to take the stage 1 off the listings. The stage 2 is full-face organic as well. The grip is substantially higher for future upgrades. There's some 350whp guys running the stage 2's on their superchargers without issues.

BTW, the HTG package price you just quoted doesn't include the flywheel.

-From what I've seen between the HDSS kit's is that the stage 2 has more grip.

-Longest lasting I'm still not sure yet...I haven't gotten extensive feedback but should last a while and really depends on driver.

-Rattle is independant of the clutch kit itself (the only thing that can rattle is the clutch disk itself and that is if it is out of balance. The noise is emitted from the rest of the driveline and some clutches have something right that makes no noise and others (including OEM) has rattle that is unbearable.

-All the competition clutch line up will have lighter pedal feel than the ACT heavy duty pressure plates.

would a stage 2 be overkill for a daily driven bone stock AP2?

I figure the clutch is going to be more grabby.

the htg price seems to include the comptech lightened flywheel, its printed just as I copied it I think. I do not plan on engine mods so wouldn't the stage 1 with 40-50 more tq capacity be more than sufficient?? Why are you taking it off listings??

Kane is a very helpful and good seller. I almost bought from him however I needed it right away and HTG got me the quote faster (I was literally just waiting to see who wrote back frist cuz I needed a clutch overnighted ASAP).

All I can say is HTG's customer service has been great for me and he really believes a puck style clutch is not healthy for the sensitive driveline (mainly the diff) in the s2k. So I'd stick with whatever you need. Anotherwords don't buy a stage 3 puck style for a stock s2k or something like that just because its a good price.
