Default clutch squeak

i know... it never rains in southern california!
and it did, and i actually drove in it!
and since driving in the heavy rains, the clutch pedal makes a slight squeak when i push it in (can feel it too).
i assume it needs lubrication somewhere-
anyone know how to get rid of this squeak?

I have the same squeak. I think its more caused by the fact that we have aluminium pedals and when they're wet, your shoe slides on it, causing the sound.

I never get the sound in the dry.

interesting thought koala...
but i thought that i felt it while pressing the clutch down too (like a very mild sticking while depressing the clutch).
also i got in the car in the garage, so my feet and the pedals were dry.

I also get that mild sticking when clutch is depressed all the way to the floor. Is it normal?

well... i sure hope i have the problem in nside's link rather than the one in johnny--2k's!!
guess i will have to try the lube idea- and it sounds like there are a couple of places to lube.
guess i should check the shop manual too...
if i see anything in there, i will post it
thx for the replies!

TSB is for a clutch spring rattle upon deceleration. It is not just a lube job. It replaces the clutch disc altogether. What you describe may be as simple as the pivot point on your clutch pedal or it can be as complex as having to replace the whole clutch master cylinder because of failed seals or rusted plunger/cylinder (as has been reported by at least one other board member - can't remember who for sure, though - could have been "prolene").
