Well for starters... how did you drop it?? sidestepping it is the only way, (and much verbage is already in print about this) raise the revs and move yur foot sideways off the clutch, so it pops up very quickly... I have never had slippage from this. Also if your clutch is noisey or vibrates on decelleration, then it is bad and should be replaced under warranty.

Clutch is typically a part not covered under warranty because it's subjected to wear. But if your car has low mileage (less than 10K) and you keep harrasing your dealer how a +$30K car shouldn't do that, you may get away with it. I did!

red,
how do you convince your dealer that clutch vibration on decel is normal?
I've got a lot of noise from the middle of the car, but people have said its normal...
how do you know if its the clutch?
Should an S2k not resonate on decel?
Guess I should get a ride on an 01, eh?
y2ks2k??? Neighbor

Actually, it's called sidestepping, BUT, i don't do this frequently...but when I do I push the clutch in and position the tip of my shoe on the bottom of the clutch pedal. Then rev and pull my foot off the bottom of the pedal. Those grippy rubber nodules on the pedal prevent me from a real sidestep.
I don't suggest doing it often, but if/when you do, this technique works better than trying to slide off the side of the clutch pedal...

All I can say is the car is much quieter after the tranny fix and clutch disk. The vibration I used to feel if I rested my foot on the clutch pedal is gone(btw rested, not pushing down), the dealer had no problems getting honda to cover it. This was probably helped by the fact that the tranny was already out of the car.
