Huge. The PSS is an entry level system, the PSS9 seems to be more competition quality.

Sport Compact Car seemed to really like the H&R setup on the Vortech S2000 in this month's issue.
I know H&R's allow multiple spring choices, like the GC setup. Did SCR mention the chosen rates?

The reason I've heard for Japanese manufacturers selection of rock-hard spring rates is their love of drifting... Stiff springs make an easy to drift car.

On a PSS9 note, I emailed the head of Bilstein Germany a number of weeks ago, asking for some clarification on availability as we were getting conflicting stories. It looks like it got pushed down back to somebody at Krups/Bilstein USA, and I got this response earlier this week:

As of today there has been no production and Bilstein in Germany does not
have a scheduled build date. Sorry that there is no more definitive
information at this time. Please keep checking with us because I do expect
that the kits are going to built in the next 2 months.

Well, at least they're planning to build them for the S2000. It's a start . . .

Out and available. The spring rates ended up being a little softer than many people anticipated. Do a search on PSS9 and you should find all the details.

does anybody know why the PSS system is so much more cheaper than the other coilover systems? What is the spring rate on the stock s2k? is it stiffer than the PSS?

Zeal SuperFunctions are excellent coilovers too, far superior than the B6.

I'm surprised the Ohlins springs are so soft. That is not much stiffer than stock. The Teins and Buddy Clubs are 10K / 10K, and the JICs are 7K / 8K.

To confirm, yes, the Bilstein PSS9 kit has officially been released for sale.

The biggest reason the PSS kit is less expensive than most of the other kits out there is because the non-adjustability of the shocks makes them far less expensive to manufacture and build than an adjustable shock because there are fewer internal parts.
