Coilover Questions
hey i was just wondering if anyone has the tein coilovers for the s2000. i was wondering how stiff is the ride... i guess this goes to everyone who has lowered their s2000. i love how the s2000 feels when you drive it. it feels solid, much better then the integras and civics i used to drive. i used to drive a modified integra, and after it was lowered, it felt kind of cheap. everything started to rattle, and i got fustrated with it after a while. i don't want to lose the high quality feel of the s2000, and would like to hear some feedback on what the after effects are to lowering the car. especially those who have the tein coilvers. thanks!
The RA's are kind of in the middle I think. The RS is the hardcore track ones with separate dampening resevoirs. The CS? is supposed to be the streetable version. I paid a little over $1600 and I'm very happy w/ them. They stand up well to hard track abuse
I just put on a set of H&R coilovers and was wondering about alignment specs, lowering etc... What are people using?
Also do you lower the car for the track then raise it for the street? Or leave it.
Thanks...

I've had the Tein RA's on for about 5 months now. The ride is noticably stiffer but definitley streetable. The RA's go for from $1,600 to $1,800 depending on who you go to. The RS's have external oil resevoirs and identical spring rates as the RA's for around $2,100. You can also get the CS (Comfort Spec) with less spring rate for around $1,350. Wouldn't recommend the CS if you plan on going to the track much.
Installation is a snap. Check the FAQ page under Suspension. I have a complete write up on the coilovers available, Tein RA installation, and height/damper setup.

Bilstein PSS gives you the same comfort as stock.
I personly think that they are to soft in the front.
I have read about Bilstein PSS here on s2ki and everyone says that they are softer in the rear than stock and stiffer in the front, that may be true, but it feels likte the oposite.
(I have not done any alingmentchanges yet, that may explain the why the car is handeling alot worse tham stock)
What will harder springs to Bilstein PSS do?? is it wurth a try??
Is there any progressive springs that will fitt the Bilstein PSS dampers instead of the springs that came with the kit??
