Default Are Coilovers like this?

I just got Zeal B6's and it seems like there is something wrong. Once in awhile it sounds like my passengers rear side is clunking. Also whenever i go on speed bumps, it squeeks. Its one of those sound like a rubber duckie in a bath tub when you squeeze it.

In my apartment complex, there are about 3-5 speedbumps i have to accorss to get to my crib. Every time i go over it, i go really slow so i dont damage anything, but then when i do go over it, it squeeks on all sides. sounds like the shock is absorbing the weight and you cna hear the airy sound.

Are my zeals defected or are coilovers like this? I talked with the shop about this that installed it and that i also got the part from, and he said i was picky and coilovers are suppsoed to be like this. My friend on his EVO got the similar ones and i dont hear anything as his ride is nice.

Should i be getting a refund on these or is there nothing wrong..

i have coilovers, mine sound like stock. i once had a noise, but that was because i accidentally made the top lock nut loose when i adjusted my ride height. i tightened it back up and it is silent. no whooshing, or clicking. in other words, something doesn't sound right with yours, but i don't have zeal's so let someone with zeal's compare.

if installed correctly you should no hear anything clunk... clunking noise means something is prob loose.

check to make sure that the clunking isnt the spare that hasnt been put back properly. I had this after my install and that was the problem. It is also on the passenger rear side.

cant help on the squeeking tho....

When I got my Tein SS coilovers installed on my TL, the rear coilovers squeaked like crazy after a few weeks of driving. It was especially noticeable like you said, when going over speed bumps.

I was always told that you needed to lube up coilovers every year or so, but I figured the first few weeks it wouldn't need to be lubed. But I did it anyways, took the wheels off, and I sprayed some silicon lubricating spray onto the coilovers.

Since then, I lube up the coilovers every year (and clean them, because they collect tons of sand and dirt), and I haven't heard a squeak since.

check the tightness of your mounting bolts my experiance has been those came lose or did not tighten properly or
it may be the shock is more compressed or uncompressed then the spring and the spring is moving if that makes sence

It is very possible to get a bad strut right from the start.
Try switching the left and right and see if the sound follows.
