As an ongoing update, I thought I'd let you know about the saga of the stalling problem. Taking Jeff's advice (not because I believed him; just because it was the easiest approach I ignored the stalling twice when the temperatures dropped below 30F. Several times this week, however, the temperatures in the morning and evening have dipped below the magical 30 and the car has not stalled. Not only does it keep running, but it now idles significantly higher than it did before (but not excessively so). In short, Jeff's idea (deus ex machina) seems to have worked, but I'll post an update from time to time so that cold weather S2000 drivers will have a benchmark of sorts.

Thanks for your input!

I had similar starting issues but only when the temp went below -10*C and on those nights that I did not plug it in. If plugged in, it starts as it does when warm outside. Those times that it's cold and it hasn't been plugged in, I've learned to crank the engine on the first start just 2-3 seconds longer to get it past the point where it would have stalled. Works every time. But in your case the temp is not really that cold so maybe the computer just needs to learn your specific condition. I have no oddities in starting at 0*C.

How come? The block heater goes into one of the engine block's frost plugs. In my experience, a battery warmer is not that useful unless you have an old battery. I've never heard of radiator warmers and I strongly suggest against an in-line coolant heater. These are far too hot and harsh for most cars to handle. I like the bad gas idea from a few posts back. Do you use fuel injector cleaner every few thousand miles?

Can't even imagine "plugging in Electra"........XViper your killing me .

Sounds like a gas issue, either moisture or alchohol. To be sure try resetting your EDU to remove any codes and see if the problem continues:

I don't suppose it gets really cold in Utah and if it does, I wouldn't think you'd leave her outside. However, if it does get that cold and you do leave it outside, she'll love ya for plugging her in. To me, plugging it in is like the way you would treat a lady. Warm her up before you get her cranked up.
