Default Color matching brake caliper paint to Spoon Blue

Hello,

Has anyone correctly matched brake caliper paint to the Spoon blue calipers? May I ask which brand of brake caliper paint kits would do the trick? I have looked online at G2, Folia Tec, and Dupli-color brake kits in blue and they all seem to be off or slightly off in color. I have a set of Spoon mono block calipers but am trying to color match the oem rear calipers to the Spoon fronts.

I did a search on this forum and have basically come up empty handed. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Will

Contact G2 directly. They did a custom paint match for us last year. Didn't even charge us extra. They'll need a color sample.

Would a picture or image suffice? Or would they need an actual paint sample?

We sent them an actual sample, but they might be able to work it out with an accurate pic. Not sure.

Would there be a color code on your paint kit from G2?
Whom did you contact over there? Did you send them an actual Spoon caliper?

Thanks,
Will

I had Webdiva (Samira) do the leg work with G2, and I did the labor. We actually had them match the pink color in her "Vixen Racing Team" logo, not Spoon blue. However their process for color-matching should be the same in any case. You might want to contact her via PM.

Thanks for your help guys. I sent G2 my Spoon caliper for them to try and color match. They will do their best as the Spoon caliper is annodized and not painted.

Update...

G2 has created a good match to the Spoon anodized blue which I received a couple of days ago. I am including a pic of this below. Due to the custom matching and custom mixing of paint, they had to make a quart of this custom color. The match is nearly perfect but not 100% as the Spoon calipers are anodized blue. So there is just a little depth and metallic difference in the blue. But overall the guys at G2 believe this is the closet match possible.

Cheers!
Will
