Color Wars!!!
I'm choosing red with the black interior just because it's the combination I'm most comfortable with. Yellow with black looks nicer than red with black and is a stronger visual statement but doesn't agree with me. The silver I never considered. I did consider the blue but there was just too much of it (something about blue leather put me off as well). The white on red was also tempting until I saw one in the flesh and discovered that the white is a bit too retiring. Black looks good also but is a little too severe.
That left red, which I find very agreeable and bold at the same time. I would have preferred a tan interior but the black will do just fine.

couple reasons i got black...
1. imo this color looks the best when its clean, keeping it clean is def. a challenge though.
2. makes this car look very mean and evil
3. black tends to shrink the size of the car alittle bit, looks smaller than the other colors of the S2000.
I also love the white but despise the red interior very much. I wish the US wasn't forced red in the white and we had the option of getting black interior in the white, thanks Honda
. I like the monte carlo blue very much also, if this color was available in the US for 2001 i would have gotten this, thanks once more honda
. I have to agree with the others though the S2000 looks great in all colors

When the first Silverstone S2000 rolled off the truck at my dealership (back in Sept '99 when I worked there), I was unimpressed tell you the truth, then it got detailed and I just thought to myself that it was the most elegant color on a car I'd seen in years.
When it came time to put a deposit down (I had quit the dealership by this time) the red one on the showroom floor looked like the sexiest red car I'd ever seen (what is it about this car in red when it's new?)...then I saw the used red one outside and chose the silver without blinking an eye. I dream about Montecarlo Blue all the time tho', if it were available here I'd trade my car in a heartbeat.

I love the Silverstone Metallic because it is highly reflective and looks classy. It goes well with the red and black two tone interior making for a three tone look that is smooth and not overwhelming. Silverstone Metallic looks great when newly waxed and cleaned.
I'm not a fan of yellow cars. I respect the appearance, but don't want to own one. I don't like the white because it seems too subdued, although I've seen some owners here with white S2000s with custom white/black two tone interiors that are very nice. Black is cool, but perhaps too light absorbant for this car...you really want to show off that front end. Red looks good and the blue doesn't look good to me at all (no offense to blue owners intended. To each their own).

Any color looks good on the show room. It takes work to maintain that, though. You have to hand wash every weekend and wax once a month. The wash & wax forum has lots of good information and believe me, it's worth it.
People NOTICE a car that looks show-room new and you feel good driving it.
Its treating and maintaining the top and the rear window that is a pain
