Mike, that's very helpful. Where precisely did the caps break? Was it in the region between the cap bolts and the locking plate - IOW, kind of the shouler of the bearing cap? Did the cap bolts hold up or did they shear?

Also, were you guys running stock lubricant in the diff at the time?

I believe the bolts held up ok, it was the cap itself that broke. But I wasn't the one working on it so I don't remember for sure. Up until that time, we hadn't done anything to the rear end.

Is Comptech working on parts to strengthen the S LSD. Is this something we can look forward to? Or it's just for the Comptech's S, and there are no manufacture intended.

We have prototyped some strengthening straps for the bearing caps and they are in our car right now. It does require some machining of the stock caps. If there is enough call for them, we'll put them into production. No idea yet on pricing for them.

I e-mailed them today for a price and haven't got an answer yet. I'll check when I get back from Asheville. For now I'd guess around $950.
