They are a morning news show and actually(in your case)would have their camera and mic and go right to honda and call them on all the run around they are giving you. They achieve phenominal results and many pissed of people are very happy. i would threaten do call your local news show and report them, in this manner. You'll be amazed at how willing a company will be to cooperate with you if they know the MEDIA will go public with your problem, which could sink their reputation.

P.S. I feel for you. I would be going crazy if my S was in the shop for that long. Honda Bodyshops must all try to be like that because they usually don't live up to their schedules. As mentioned try going to a bodyshop that repairs many expensive exotics. Or even go to a body shop that repairs many NSXs. Either one should be better then your Honda Bodyshop. That's for sure!
Pappy, sorry to hear about your nightmare... When my 01 Spa Yellow was rear ended, I never considered taking it to a Honda Dealership for repairs. Most dealers outsource the work to nearby body shops anyway. What I did do was call Acura, and asked them for a recommendation on a local NSX Specialist/Body Shop. Eventually, a few of my local Acura Dealer all referred to the same place: Fanastic Finishes of Palm Beach. It was quite a drive up there (2 hours) but worth it. They fixed my car perfectly and perfectly matched the Spa Yellow paint, which is EXTREMELY difficult to do. The repairs were so good, that the dealer never even knew it was in a major accident by looking at it when they were inspecting the car for trade-in value.
I suggest refusing the delivery of your car. Call your insurance company and AHM. Demand that you want the repairs to be done at another body shop of your choosing. Call some local Acura dealers up and ask for recommendations. If at all feasible, even consider taking it to Fanastic Finishes in Palm Beach.
Good luck.

That's a great idea about the TV show. We have the same thing in our area. "Call Ken" or something like that. You might consider that Pappy. They've f'd with you now it's time to return the favor. It's not like you haven't given them plenty of opportunity to make it right.
Pappy,
Sorry to hear about this..it sucks. Follow everyone else's advice, especially regarding the TV show. I have found News Ch.8 (the NBC affiliate) to have an excellent hard hitting show regarding these type of issues where the investigator chases and gets up in the face of these crooks, who obviously hate the negative publicity.

Pappy, I had horrible experiences with Autoway, to the extent that my name is probably still recognizable to them. Unfortunately, the only body shop I knew in Pinellas or Hillsborough is now defunct, but I'm sure if you call the Porsche dealer or some other high dollar dealership, they can refer you to someone who would do a good job repairing the repair.
I'd definitely get your insurance company, your lienholder, and the state AG's office involved, and don't let up until you're satisfied!

All you guys - Thanks a lot for the posts. I am probably just going to take legal action against this situation. I am contacting my insurance agent tomorrow, and will have a plan by later that day. Honestly, I will most likely not contact TV sources about the problem. I just don't know, but that isn't my style.
Nvrquit - Can you beleive this crap! Sorry I haven't gotten back to your PM's, just been hell over here, if you know what I mean. Thanks alot for the writeup about the headlights. Feel free to stop on by anytime when your in town.
SondaS2K - You wouldn't happen to be the lady who wrecked your previous S2K and demanded a new one since they didn't fix it right? They were telling me about the situation, thinking I would side with them....

It's too late for Pappy but there's a lesson here. It's virtually impossible to fix 12k of repairs perfectly. He had the car only 2 1/2 months and said it wasn't his fault. It's not clear who's insurance is paying. At any rate if somebody causes that much damage to your car that is that new and they have insurance:
INSIST ON A NEW CAR
When you start talking about repairs plus diminished value plus rental costs, etc. they will do it, particularly on a car that new. You just have to be insistent.

Pappy:
Your story is a genuine nightmare. As an aid in furthering the complaint process, on which you should not yet give up - get yourself a decent digital camera and take a comprehensive series of pictures. Be both scientific and thorough. For example, have a friend hold up a ruler as you take pictures of both left and right front quarters, so that the gap sizes are clearly evident. Make a few hard copy pictures to be able to show the 'highlights', making sure that the body shop knows that you have many more in reserve, and threaten to argue the case with whomever (the local Attorney General's office, the Better Business Burea, American Honda). You can get the hard copies done from the jpeg's at a local Kodak kiosk, or from an online service. Heck, I am pretty handy at Photoshop, and for the price of a stamped self-addressed envelope plus a promise to repay nominal paper and ink costs, I hereby volunteer to help out in a pinch. Good luck.
