It looks like the supercharger airbox without the supercharger. If it is (why would they make two very similar airboxes?) the resonance is the carbon fiber lid contacting the hood. If you place some small adhesive backed velcro pieces to the areas of the hood that contact the airbox (easy to see, the rubbing areas looked scratched) the resonance will be minimal.

Jordan-

I see that you have this puppy up for sale already. Am I correct in assuming that Comptech was unable to satisfy your concerns?

Comptech was very good about it...turns out I had to do some minor trimming to make it fit right.

I got a call from my dealer and they are giving me a sweet deal on a 2002. (due in April)

I will be selling all my aftermarket parts as I will be keeping the new one stock!

I just sold the Comptech to PsychoBen so I will let him do the review on it.

bayarea - blue

Well overall I was not happy with the fit and finish of the kit!!

But I must mention the fact that I am VERY anal about car parts.

I returned my first AEM because it had a scratch on a part that the filter covers (could not be seen)

I sold my first voodoo knob because it had a 1mm scratch on it.

I bought a new wiper arm for the s2k because it had a 2mm chip on it(from a rock).

I sold my last car 99 Civic Si because it had a 4mm paint defect. (lost $4000)

I sold my car before that (95 Eclipse GSX) because it got broken into and the new door handle did not match the car after two trys. (lost $4000)

(real reason I am trading in the s2k) the engine makes a noise that I do not like. at least 20 s2k owners and two dealers have said it is normal but I am nutz! (will lose about $3000) plus $6000 in payments)

As you can see I am crazy. I am on medication...not sure if it works

Jordan, that whistling sound is not normal. Who the hell told you it was? Sounds like a constant air leak from your header not sealing or something. Oh well, not your problem anymore. BTW, does anyone want to take bets on how long Jordan will keep his 2002 Blue stock?
