Default Comptech exhaust now available for the '04

FYI to all 2004 owners - Got a call a short while ago from the guys at Comptech saying they had completed production and were ready to ship exhausts for the '04 S2K.

Any word on pricing, and who will be distributing?

I believe the pricing is roughly the same as the prior exhaust, and they can be purchased directly through Comptech.

Since I don't have one on my car (yet!) I can't tell anyone much more than my original post...

ComptechUSA.com is down right now for maintenance, probably adding the 04 exhaust to the lineup...

I like comptech's exhausts. Have one on my Accord v6. Subte, low deep tone, not loud, very nice sounding.

Only problem is originally I heard they were going to go with an oval shaped tip like stock, which would've been great, but then ended up going with round tips. I know it's a minor thing, but the oval tips go so well with the rear bumper.

Comptech told me:
"It looks like the tips will be a 4" diameter, angle cut with a rolled edge, similar to the older model S2000. Price will be $1189".

Yup, 4" angle cut rolled edge resonated - but they likened it to the NSX exhaust. They're trying to dig up a pic and the dyno results. If anything becomes of that I'll put the info here.

I wonder how hard that would be?

Perhaps they saw only a 1 or 2 hp gain and wanted to alter it to at least 5.

I think they're just a little short staffed right now and it's some of the tech guys (rather than the sales guy I'm working with) that has the data...

And as with ANY exhaust for these cars, there won't be a big gain.
