Default Comptech Icebox filter

Gday,

just wondering if anyone with a comptech icebox intake has changed their air filter to another brand? Im wanting to get the apexi air filter as it seems to work better than the current comptech sponge filter....any suggestions would be great as i really wanna change the filter.

I think the AFE 24-55505 may fit better. it is two inches shorter. Did you find someone that has one in stock? I heard they were on back order.

Yea, the 55505 would be easier to get in the box. The 07 fits, but the end touches the horn bracket on my '02. I can't remember where I ordered mine from -- seems like it was sparkplugs.com.

Anyone know where to find one of these AFE or Apexi filters that would fit the comptech box?
