Default Comptech....pricing

If you could buy a brand new one for $ 3,700....(the charger, cold air intake, fuel pump, pressure regulator, everything the kit comes with... + the $ 400 core charge for the belt)....would you do it?

I am soooooooooo freakin' tempted...............

i bought mine used for 3500 back in spring of 2002, felt it was a good price.

only thing you are missing now is the A/C, wich by itself is a nice piece of change.

if you are not considering running smaller pulley for more boost, or in a place where temps stay in high 90's and above, i think the basic kit works fine.

i have smaller pulleys on hand, and the a/c showed up the day after i wrecked it.

now the question is do i put it all on my '04 or just leave well enough alone since it is my daily, go to work driving car...

I would not run any higher boost...just stick with the pulley they would include...and then send them my stock one back......

damn it, I am sooooooooooooo tempted.....

Heck yes I'd do it. If I had it that is and my car wasn't leased. I'm not crazy about the centrifugal setup for this car because it really needs roots style boost, but unfortunately this is the only option vs. turbocharging.

Z06-KILLR, if I was in your shoes, I think I would. Since you have a STi also, you and can use that as your daily driver. I wouldn't do it if my S2k is my daily driver (which it is) because I would want to keep the reliability up.

If you want FI, SC is the way to go, I wouldn't do turbo. Have you thought about 4.77 gears?

I just think it is a great deal to let it pass...I could always sell it if for any reason I decided to change my mind. I probably won't do much more....I just want to make it a bit quicker as now, the STi has pretty much made it feel soooo slooow. :-(

You could use it and if you didn't like it, you could sell it for the same price as you bought it! I was in your shoes about 3 years ago with the same kind of deal for my Miata. I got a Jackson Racing SC package with header, exhaust and ignition timing retard module for $3000, brand spanking new. We're talking about $4200 retail here. I wound up selling the exhaust because I didn't need it and made $300 back so when all was said and done, I got it for $2700. I used it for 3 months and was dissappointed in the performance and the way it was running (like crap... thanks JR for the quality products) and wound up selling it for $2300. I kept the header, which was $500 new.
