Default Comptech Reinforced Diff. Housing

http://www.ricks2k.com/products/Comptechdiff.php

I have an S2 with the Vortech Supercharger w/ intercooler and aftercooler with an ACT 6 puck clutch and a Fidanza lightweight flywheel. I just bought it and I have been warned about the power issues against the diffs and axles. I was wondering if this is worth the money. Thanks!

From what I've read on this board, it sounds like the reinforced diff. is a good idea when upping the power. For the $$ versus the cost of the SC, it probably couldn't hurt. Hopefully someone with both SC and Comptech reinforced diff will pipe in. . . bump.

edit: oh yeah, try the search. there are a multitude of threads on this topic.

its worth it from what i've heard.. because the rear diff is the weak point of the car, when you go FI you are pretty much increasing the weakness, because of more power to deal with.. the reinforced diff will give you more strength (obviously ) and more assurance that the diff wont fail

thanks for the help guys! Looks like it will be another mod to add onto the list. So far I am going to get:

-smoked side markers
-clear corners for headlights
-ricks2k leather center console cover
-2004 radio cover (anyone know where I can get one?)
-window tint
-possibly hardtop
-aluminum dash kit(won't get the '04 cover then)

I'm using a Comptech 04 diff housing with stock gears and diff. No troubles as of yet. To my knowledge nobody has had the honor of breaking the 1st Comptech housing.

If memory serves me correctly, I recall that Wesmaster broke a Comptech reinforced diff, but it was NOT in an '04 diff.
