I am new to the board. I would like any user info regarding the comtec replacement air filter.

 

I'd try doing a search for the following:

K&N air filter
JR air filter
MG Racing air filter
comptech air filter

its a nice thing to have, whatever filter you get, but don't expect anything out of it. but all the little things add up to having a better performing car.

 

I've got a Comptech air filter. It's good quality, made out of foam and fits just fine. I didn't notice any "huge" change in the cars performance, but maybe just a little.

You should try K&N;they claim a +10 H.P. gain,dyno proven.!!!

Your best bet for a drop-in replacement is a K&N or an AFE. The AFE is similar to a K&N but of better quality and of course a bit more expensive. The Comptech filter is a UNI foam filter which is not good at all. Foam filters are well known to flow AND filter the worst out of the mainstream aftermarket filtering mediums. I got rid of the foam filter in my Comptech intake for an AFE filter that fit.
