has anyone ran both? im trying to decide if its really worth the extra cash to just go with a comptech cai or get the snorkel??

 

I dont think running both will really work do to the box that covers the intake. doesn't it have a tube that draws cold air from the bumper anyway

The decision may be easy...do you know where you're going to get a Comptech CAI? Comptech is out of business.

 

Both would be a waste. I would just run the snorkel and a K&N filter with gutted box.

 

A used Comptech intake is probably cheaper than a good quality snorkel. I have a Comptech with AFE filter in it and am very happy.

By both, he meant tried one, then tried the other, NOT both at the same time.

 

its the same the snorkel is a spoon replica, i already have a k&n, i can get a comptech cai for pretty cheap, but if its the same as a snorkel and gutted airbox with drop in ill just save my money if the comptech performs a lil better than snorkel and gutted box with drop in ill go with the comptech. just seeing what other people thought of the two it seems like there the same.

 

It will be the same with snorkel or comptech. There might be a 1 hp of difference between the two one way or the other but your not going to feel that. I'd say go the way that saves you money.

plus i save 100 bucks but thats going toward the cooling plate
