Default Confirmed: S2000 Insurance Rating Code Now 22

Some insurance companies follow the industry standard rating codes of the ISO (Insurance Service Office), other companies have their own rating codes.

The ISO rating codes are out now (January 31, 2003) for the 2003 model year, and the S2000 code was changed from 19 to 22. This usually happens when repair costs and injuries are higher than originally predicted.

Some companies may continue to use the old rating code, especially for model year 2000 through 2002 cars, at least for awhile.

Here is an older thread on this subject:

I just talked to my State Farm agent this morning. She says my MY2003 has a rating of 23! Not a big difference but I guess not all insurrance companies use the same rating numbers.

Thanks for linking my thread on this Palmateer!

I hate the new rating, but what can we do?

Everytime I see an accident with an S2000 on this board, I cringe and think of what it does to our insurance. Sad, but true.

State Farm here also!
Premium, I mean "PREMIUM" Went from ($390/6 months @ a 19) to ($625/6 months @ a 22).
No accidents, no tickets, married, 2 cars, and 30 years old. 15 Years with the same agent.

So, I complained like nobodies business and received 20% off the $390 rate!

Well I'm 26, unmarried, no accidents or tickets, and I pay $192/month for the S2000 and my 90 Integra in South Florida.

I need to move to Carolina, where the insurance is cheap!

ERRRRRRRRRRRRR Damn you Keith.

I'm 28, not married, countless number of tickets (but no points so it doesn't count) and 3 accidents in the past 3 years (all rear ended) and I'm paying $1500 for my S2000 and 96 626 that I use as my daily driver in Miami.
