Default Considering adding Comptech supercharger

Anyone out there who has done this on their S2K?

What are your experiences (good and bad) on this?

Will I fry my clutch in no time?

I just received mine today! I will let you all know how the install goes (I will document my progress with pictures). The car won't be drivable until I get my wheels so I won't get to drive it any time soon...

People fry their clutches even without the supercharger.
The supercharger will not make this much worse because it makes more torque only at high rpm. At these rpms, the stock engine will fry the clutch if the tires don't break loose. The supercharger will just make more tire smoke.

I didn't know you could buy a S2k without wheels!

What was the MSRP on that?

No more 'did it come with no wheels' jokes... I just sold my stock wheels/tires before my new ones came in. I am doing all engine/body mods with the car on jacks...

Do you guys know anyone who wants my carbon fiber-covered Comptech air box from my supercharger kit?

If I get no reasonable offers I will just throw it in the attic and look at the great carbon fiber from time to time...

What do you want for the airbox? I wouldn't mind a spare. Email me and let me know. I'm very interested. jlieber@home.com

Shane,

Why aren't you going to use the air box?
