Default Constantly dropping soft top... reliability issues?

I was just curious as to the reliability of the hinges and the mechanics of the soft top. I almost always drop it when I'm driving but close it back up when I am not. Anyone have issues or experience on this matter? Thanks.

Hinges and hardware will be ok....you'll just need to replace the vinyl eventually...and obviously the more you drop it the sooner the replacement will be needed.

How much does the vinyl cost to replace? I have heard of issues where the top does not go all the way down as well.

The Vinyl will be fine as long as you don't allow the sun to dry it out too bad. The maintenance is better started when the top is new but its never too late to care for it.

303 Protectant is the shit. Use this every couple months and it works as a sunscreen for the top and helps preserve the strength/color of the top. Once you get a tear though, time to start patching unfortunately.

Having it done seems to run around the $1500 range. You can DIY for as low as $400.
