Default Consumer Reports-Auto Issue

They gave it a "Recommended" with highest marks on reliability and satisfaction, with lower than average depreciation.

They also show one of their test guys next to a red S2000 on the inside front cover of the mag. Guess they want to show that they are not too stuffy or something.

Out of their Top Ten Picks, 5 were Honda products(the S2k was not a top pick), 2 Toyota, 2 Suburu and 1 Nissan. No American or European brands made it.

S2000 is the only car that makes to every issue, the picture at least.

They use that picture often ... however, check out the picture on the back cover.

It appears they show a 2006 (check the seats) with AP1 wheels ...

Go figure?

Why did the 2005 take a hit for "Body Integrity" while the 2004 was rated good? Is this the rear quarter panel thing?

Here's what Consumers says

Body integrity: Seals, weather stripping, air and water leaks, wind noise, rattles and squeaks.

Other than squeaks(seats) I haven't seen the other stuff on mine.

BTW, what is the rear 1/4 panel deal?
Probably referring to where the rear bumper meets the quarter panel. Sometimes they don't line-up perfectly and there have been issues with the paint at the joint as well.
