Default Convertible Frame Joints

Was wondering what would be better to lubricate the convertible frame and joints? WD-40 or Multi-Purpose grease? Mine is squeaking.

WD-40 is anything but a lubricant. It's market that way... i know. stick with the grease.

I use Corrosion Block aerosol, available at boating supply outlets. It's a good penetrant, clear, non-sticky and long lasting.

I use my mountain bike chain lube. It is a waxy lube with moly and Teflon. Just apply a few drops to the hinge, it penetrates well, then the solvent evaporates leaving a non-greasy dry lube. And besides, I did not have to buy yet another specialty product.

It is safe. I have used it for that and for my auto hinges for years. Never had any problem with paint damage.
