Default Convertible Top Future Issues

Hi Everybody,

Has anyone owned or still own a '00 S2K (AP1) and had issues with the convertible top functioning?
Mine still works just fine, although I worry if I put my soft top down, it won't rise back up one day.

Thanks,
David

I haven't ran into ANYONE that has complained or mentioned a motor failure for the tops.. If I haven't read it by now I'm pretty sure honda did a damn good job with the top system.

Same here. Never heard of anyone complaint about their motors failing. Don't worry about it

I remember people had the same worries about the pop up headlights on the old Accords and Preludes but having had an '86 Accord for my first time those pop up headlight motors were as reliable anything else on the car. I imagine the convertible top motor will be in the same category. Your real concern should be the actual fabric as I just spotted a small tear on the stress points.

Thanks for the assurance! My fabric is still in tact, although I'm sure my plastic rear window can't last forever...
